Overland Travel Packing List

Traveling over land is one of the most amazing things you can do in your life. But before you set off, you have to make sure that you are ready for the journey you’re about to go on. There is one question that you’ll ask yourself every time: Have I packed everything? After departing on three major expeditions (eight months, eleven months and one still going on in Africa), we have quite some experience in packing for international travels. It definitely happened to us on previous trips that we set off, just to realize we left something at home, only hours into the trip. Sounds familiar? To help you pack with ease, we finally took the time to compile a list that is fool-proof, easy to use, and applicable to every long-term overlanding trip that you might go on. It will cover most overlanding destinations and will definitely help you on a summer holiday as well. The Rafiki on Tour Overland Travel Packing list contains everything we bring on our travels, from pots and pans to food, from tools to oil, and from pencils to items you usually find in your shed. Some of the items on our list aren’t necessarily required to bring with you on a summer holiday, but could be invaluable on an international overland trip.
